Which Doctor Should Be Consulted For Persistent Cold And Cough?
My wife is suffering from cold and cough for a long time. We took the tests and doctor said it is Allergic Rhinitis. They gave some allergic medicine not to be taken regularly but only when the problem is more. While we are taking precautions, every day during 3AM to 6AM she becomes restless due to excessive mucous and continuous sneezing. She is having breahing difficulty. I am not sure how to take her medications ahead. Do we need to consult some specific doctor or go for some tests?

You need to contact an allergist. The symptoms you are describing are probably the symptoms of an allergic patient who is allergic to house dust mites, because the symptoms occurs during night when the patient is in bad where the mites are in a high concentration. She need to have prick test to inhalant allergens done.
