Hi,
During strenuous exercise or physical activity, lot of blood is distributed from the gut to the muscles and skin. This leads to gut ischemia. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps are some of the symptoms of gut ischemia. Increase in temperature also seen in strenuous exercise. Fat rich, hyperosmolar fluids, high
carbohydrate and fiber diet leads to allergic manifestations during heavy physical activity.
Dehydration along with gut ischemia provokes these symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea.
Hyponatremia along with fluid loss is seen in these individuals.
Gastritis is other condition causing vomiting and diarrhea on intake spicy and fatty food. Depends on the symptoms and diet, the cause for concern should be evaluated and treated.
Endoscopy is needed, if the etiology is not definitive. Appropriate diet and hydration is needed. Visit the gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
