Which Is The Safest Medication Available For Ear Pain In A Child?

Hi Doctor, My seven year old daughter was having ear pain.The ENT doctor in Pune has advised to give Ivepred-4mg tablets one in the morning and one in the evening for 5 days and 1/2 tablet in the morning and 1/2 tablet in the evening for next five days.Is this medicine safe doctor?

Hello.The drug that you refer is a corticosteroid. It should be used with caution but used at the right dose,only a few days and descending doses, is a safe and effective drug for ear infections.The prescription of your doctor is right.
