While Standing Up, What Could Cause Extremely Painful Thighs In A Diabetic?

Over the last week I have developed a severe pain in my thigh which is really bad when I getup to a standing position. After a while of standing and walking it feels better but the pain on standing is almost unbearable and getting worse as opposed to better! I am 60 and have diabetes which probably does not help. Suggestions?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Do you have some problem in knee joint also. As some time when knee arthritis is also present or diabetes alone can also cause thigh muscle weakness leading to thigh pain when getting up from sitting posture. I would recommend you to check your blood sugar if your diabetes is under control. Also three tablets for your muscle weakness.
Methylcobal, calcium and carnisure. These drugs will increase strength in your thigh muscles, and also in other body muscles. If knee arthritis is also present as proved by knee x ray, learn quadriceps strengthening exercises also.
