Hello,

You are suffering from low back pain associated with thigh pain first in the right side and then in the left. Your symptoms are indicative of lumbar spondylosis or sciatica. You have a history of spondylosis. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray, CT, MRI done to detect the narrowing of the intervertebral disc spaces, narrowing of the spinal canal, herniation, thickening of the facet joints, etc.

You will be accordingly treated with physical therapy, light exercises, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. Your treating Physician can recommend treatment with steroids epidural or manual therapy, etc. If obese lose excess weight as they put extra load on the joints of the lumbar region that accelerate wear and tear of the lumbar joints. Prolonged sitting puts pressure on the lumbar vertebrae so stay active. You can take Acetaminophen or Combiflam to get rid of pain, numbness and tingling. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
