White Bumps In Throat, Swollen Glands Below Jaw And Fleshy Blockage In Nostrils. What Could This Be?

I have small white bumps in my throat. Can hardley swallow, it hurts so bad. Saw the doctor on Saturday and she said I didn't have strept. I have been gargling with salt water every 4 hrs. and taking Mucinex severe Cold, Flu and Sore throat liquid medicine. My glands feel swollen under my jaws on both sides. I looked up my nostrils and and noticed the right nostril has something in it that looks flesh color and is far back you would normally put say a finger to clean your nose with a klennex. The bump makes the nostril very narrow is in the far back of the nostril. The doctor told me to flush with saline which I did this morning which has been the only time I did this. I have been taking Zrytec D.

Any ideas? thank you

Hi Janet, thank you for posting at Health Care Magic.

All your symptoms shows us that you suffer from acute festering type tonsillitis, combined with glands under the jaw.
I think that it is caused by a bacterium.
As for the nostril, it is the possibility that you suffer from a nasal polyp.

You should be treated with systemic antibiotic, also you should continue the local treatment, that your doctor prescribed to you.

To treat your nose you should take Flixonase nasal spray 40 µg, 2x1 a day.

You should contact an ORL(otorinolaringolog).

Best Wishes.
