White Clumps In Urine. Analysis Showed Bacteria. Treated With Septra. Give Opinion

I'm an RN. I have a strong medical background but am in need of help. About a year ago I started experiencing string white substance in urine which progressed into white clumps in urine and it's consistent. My last urine analysis showed few bacteria so I was treated with septra. There was no indication for a culture. I feel this is very abnormal. Now I'm scared. What are your thoughts. I would love to hear your knowledge

Te white clumps that you have observed, if present along with other symptoms of a urinary tract infection (UTI), which I shall list later during this discussion, are normal findings in the presence of a UTI. This is usually due to various salts that are present in the urine, to precipitate and form these whitish clumps. You will have to request your a repeat urine analysis to rule out the presence of infection causing organisms or fungus clumping up to form these clumps.

In case this whitish substance has a grainy or salt like appearance this could be due to the excessive accumulation of salts in the renal system, that can result in stone formation in the renal system. You will have to rule out/diagnose this as well.

Do not worry about the white clumps, they are normally associated with infections and very rarely are due to conditions much more serious than a simple infection.
