hi, i am a 47 year old female and my doctor ordered a mri of my brain because of real bad headaches. the mri showed white matter hyperintensity and microvascular ischemic , vasculitis or ms. can you please tell me what this means i am so confused and the doctor wont explain to me whats going on. you are my last hope to finding out what all this means. The report of MRI of white matter hyperintensity and microvascular ischemic means there is decreased blood supply to to a part of white matter of brain... MS means multiple sclerosis... minor ischemia will not affect any body function also it may be restored by a sort duration.. it it is a large area then you need to get treated for it...
