White Patches On Chin, Eyebrows. Diagnosed Vitiligo. Prescribed Melanocyl, Pregnancy Not Allowed. Alternative Treating Method?
hello doctor,I have got this white patches over my chin area and now it has spread to my right eyebrows.I consulted a dermatologist regarding this matter and he said it is vitiligo and it needs treatment of about 6 months to 1 year period
with medicines like melanocyl lotion and melanocyl tabs and he also said during this period pregnancy is not allowed and not safe. But my family is not supporting this idea. What can I do is there any other means to be treated.Pls help me.this problem developed over the last 1 month. Is phototherapy a good idea will it get cured soon and is it safe.
Hi vitiligo presents as white patches over any part of body.the treatment for rather difficult if it is wide spread.if melanocyl tabs are used pregnancy is not allowed.instead use only topical therapy like placentrex gel in the morning and flutivate ointment on alternate nights and tacrolimus on alternate nights.use iron supplementations also with these treatment.until family is completed. Even in puva therapy we use psorolens which are contraindicted in pregnancy
