Hi,
welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
Reading your brief query it is quite difficult to make out exact possibility of the problem you are facing as we need to know your age, exact time since the problem is present and involvement of any other body area . even then there are two possibilities of the problem:
1. Mild form of Seborrhoeic dermatitis: in this condition there is presence of flaky (scaly ) reddish areas of skin generally over face and forehead as well as
scalp shows
dandruff. Though other body sites may be involved. This is common in person between the age of 18-40 years.
2.
Pityriasis alba:
hypopigmentation ( whitish areas of the skin) with some
redness and scaling preceding the hypopigmentation over mainly face. This is common in age group of 3-16 years.
Now you can probably take out the exact probability of your problem.
There is no basic precaution as such, but you can have best of sun protection as it increases the flakiness and redness in both the conditions. The natural remedy for both the conditions is to have best of multivitamins and minerals in fruits and green leafy vegetables. Don't forget to wash your scalp everyday.
Hope this information will help you.
