hi I have developed a white spot on my cheek 2 months ago. Its a peanut shaped spot and does not seem to grow in size but is making me very self conscious and less confident. Will it get cured within 1 month or so by PUVA treatment?I am out of india and will be coming just for the treatment to india .I can stay only 1 month...please help
It is not necessary that the white spot on your face is leukoderma (vitiligo). It could be P.alba, P.versicolor, localised hypomelanosis secondary to application of steroids or 'fairness' creams.
In vitiligo, the white spot is milky white and has well-defined borders.
I suggest you to apply VENUSIA CREAM twice a day for 1 month.
first of all, it has to be determined what is the white spot due to.
whether its a condition that will respond to puva.
and a month will be a short period, its difficult to say whether our skin will respond completely to puva.
it depends on the improvement.
there are other treatments for white spots depending on the diagnosis, you could try these.
regards
