Whom To Consult For Headaches And Dizziness In A Person With Liver Cirrhosis?

My general doctor had to quit her practice due to cancer. I have cirrhosis of the liver stage 4. I have a gastroenterologist in Billings, MT. I am looking for a physician suggestion as I need blood tests ASAP as I am on Warfarin for 2 years due to blood clots from my liver condition and am experiencing major headaches, dizzy, fatigue, sweats, fever, stomach cramps, feeling of my body being on fire inside, joint pain and veins in legs very painful and growing fast, I have had variance s banded in the past, I also have a very heavy chest feeling. Not sure what to do or where to go live in Buffalo, Wyoming. Any suggestion on what type of doctor to see?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of liver cirrhosis and presently you are you are having headache and dizziness. Get clinically examined by an ENT, your symptoms can be due to migraine, deviation in the nasal symptoms, ear infection, vision issues, vertigo, motion sickness, etc. Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are anemia, stress and anxiety, low BP, low blood glucose, dehydration, etc. Avoid stress and stay well hydrated, Take home made food and make sure your vitals are normal.

Report the symptoms to your treating doctor so that you may get a follow up clinical examination and prescription medicines can be monitored more closely. Since you are experiencing heaviness of chest get all cardiac function tests, lipid function tests, blood tests, urinalysis and imaging tests done to detect any CAD. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
