Whom To Consult For Painful Cyst On Outer Throat?

I have a large cyst that is on my outer throat that has been getting larger over the last 3 months. I can pop it if I squeeze it and it oozes with puss and blood and very painful I need to know what type of doctor I can go to to get it removed I had it removed twice at a younger ago but it just recently came back

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain you are suffering from a RECURRING THROAT CYST and it can occur due to a number causes like:
1.Swelling in lymphatic tissue.
2.Epidermoid or Dermoid cyst..
3.Laryngocele.
4.Schwann cell cyst.
5.Salivary gland swelling..
6.Sebaceous and thyroglossal duct cysts..

In very rare cases it can be CANCEROUS..

I would suggest you to consult an ENT surgeon and get evaluated and a biopsy or the CT SCAN can help to find out the nature of the cyst and then the treatment can be planned accordingly..
The draining of the cyst can be done to relieve while for recurrent cases ENUCLEATION of the cyst that is complete removal along with the cystic lining can be done..
It will be followed by antibiotics and painkillers..
