Hello
Cervix, you can say lower part of uterus.internal os, you can say demarcation between cervix and uterus.it maintains the pregnany.during labour its get opened and expel out fetus.normal cervical length is 3.5 to 4 cm.so in your ultrasound cervicsl length is 3.5 cm that is normal.internal os is closed that too normal. Placenta is usually anterior or posterior. As pregnancy progresses it starts maturing from grade 1 to grade 4.placenta usually 5 cm away from internal os.low lying means its little near to internsl os.but after 7 months in maximum cases its migrate upwards ( away from internsl os) .your ultrasound is normal.
