Why Aminofit Forte Is Prescribed During Pregnancy?
Hi ,I am 20 weeks pregnant and had my level-2 scan last week. One observation was Increased resistance in right uterine artery with early diastolic notch and RI value of 0.71 .When I consulted my doctor with the report, she added Aminofit sachet (1 daily). What is aminofit actually for?Is it a blood thinner?I was expecting doctor to prescribe a blood thinner. Is the condition with me risky and is the doctor s prescription correct?Other than the above observation, all other things are normal for me including baby s growth, heartbeat etc
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Aminofit forte sachet contains amino acids and minerals. It is not a blood thinner. It helps by promoting growth and development of the baby, and reduces the chances of a miscarriage. As your baby's growth might get slow down, this medication has been prescribed, which should help in promoting healthy growth and development of the baby. Hence don't have to worry about this much. Continue with your routine and get your antenatal check-ups done regularly. Get a follow-up scan as advised. Eat healthy diet and keep yourself well hydrated. Hope the information provided is clear. All the best.
