Why Am I Experiencing Severe Bleeding, Pelvis And Abdominal Pain After Taking Misoprostol Vaginally?
I had a D&E for a 6 weeks some days on 31st oct 2013. It was followed by bleeding for 1-2 days n very light spotting. But i was having this constant pain in the lower abdomen right side and lower part too. A USG showed some POC was still there. I was given 400mg Misoprostol vaginally. This didnt lead to any bleeding etc. SO i got another USG done which said tgere was no POC left. . I got a period like blood flow on 1st Dec 2013 which was fresh bright red blood and clots. It cintinued for 8 days on and of. Again on 13th dec 2013 i passed a clot of a coin size with bright red blood and no bleeding. I have been having lower abdomen pain on the right side and the lower part of the groin which goes to the right leg near the thigh and pelvic joint. It is still there. Is there anything serious?
Misoprostol vaginally is advised for evacuation of the contents mostly advised in conditions like incomplete miscarriage, for abortion, etc.
This makes it clear why you are experiencing the bleeding as the pills act by causing evacuation of the uterus. If the bleeding last for long, please report to tour prescribing doctor.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
