Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Am I Feeling Low And Having Jerky Legs And Arms Post Knee Replacement?
I have had two knee replacements in under two years and am on diahydracodine I was on 30/500 but am now down to 10/500 taking 6 a day but am finding it so difficult not sleeping sweats, jerky legs and arm and feeling really low. How long can I expect it to go on.
The jerky legs and arms after a surgery can be due to low levels of fluids or electrolytes in the body. Decreased fluid intake can cause it. Do get your serum Vitamin B12 levels evaluated and start with supplements if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
