Why Am I Getting Clear, Odourless, Stringy Discharge At 38 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor,

Thank you for answering my question. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and over the past few days have been getting clear, odourless, stringy discharge. I am unsure as to what this clear discharge is. I am slightly concerned as I have been tested positive for Group B strep colonization and am worried I might pass on infection to baby, I am considered low risk and have had an uncomplicated pregnancy.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the clear odourless discharge might be normal mucus discharge.Even in case of B streptococcus infection prophylaxis antiboitics are given before delivery to prevent the transmission of infection to fetus during the delivery. So relax.
