Why Am I Having Throat Pain After Swallowing Pain Killer?

I went down stairs and took two liquid pills for pain relief. When I took the first one and swallowed my throat had a sharp pain. I thought I needed to swallow more water with it. So I did it again and same results. Right now I still have a tiny pain in my throat, but everything else is fine. Am I in any danger?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Some times there is discrepancy in swallowing due to poor coordination of pharygeal muscles. Don't worry it may subside soon. Drink hot water and take rest and review after five days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
