Why Am I Not Getting Pregnant After Depo Provera Shot?

I was on Depo shot for a while. i haven t been on since November of last year. I get my periods every month. I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year. Its making me sad because i keep getting negative results. Im starting to worry if i can conceive again. I have been taking prenatal vitamins daily and i have changed my eating habits. My fiance and i have sex constantly, last month i think we missed a few days while i was ovulated, im starting to give up hope.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hormonal contraception can have an effect a few weeks or month after discontinuation but would not be having an effect a year later.
This means that it is not responsible for your issues with conception.

Since a year has passed, you may want to seek the assistance of your doctor. Your partner would need a semen analysis and you would need assessment of your ovaries, cervix, tubes and uterus.

This is done through a combination of blood tests and different imaging techniques.

There are medications and procedures that can help you to conceive.

I hope this helps
