Hello,
If you have never had a menstrual disturbance, it is likely that you may have had some amount of breakthrough bleeding, sometimes due to transient hormone disturbances. If you have cycles of 28-30 days, this can correspond to ovulation bleeding, though such a bleed is often fresh. Also, some amount of infection, local causes like polyps and erosions can also cause such spotting. Use of tampons may often lead to local trauma, especially if the tampon does not fit easily enough. Please wait for a couple more days and if this does not subside, get expert help. Take care.
