Why Am I Experiencing Fluttering In Heart And Chest Pain While Laughing?
Hi, I m 18 years old and have had chest pains (on the left side) for a couple of days now. Ordinarily it doesn t hurt too much until I laugh, which is when it s almost a sharp pain. Also, I ve noticed my heart flutters when I laugh. What could be causing this?
Chest pain can occur from any structure in the chest from the skin inwards. The fact that the pain is occurring persisting , worsening on laughter implies that may either be muscular skeletal (from the muscles or joints) or caused by pleuritis (inflammation of the pleura). The pleura are the lining of the lung.
The sharp pain that you are experiencing on laughter may be causing the palpitations.
YOu may want to consider the use of an anti inflammatory pain killer such as aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen , cataflam.
I hope this helps
