Why Am I Having A Stabbing Pain In The Outer Part Of Thigh?

I have a stabbing pain in the outter part of my thigh. It burns and itches, when I try to scratch it it hurts really bad. I have a brain tumor, I have try prescribed pain meds, and steroids. Nothing helps. I have even tried 18 dollar over the counter cream.
