Why Am I Having Tenderness And Slight Pain While Swallowing In Neck Region?
I have been having tenderness and slight pain with swallowing in neck region. Pain radiates to lower jaw and to ear. I had a ct scan done to rule out carotid artery issues. The findings are negative. A node near my thyroid gland has been found. I am waiting for further testing. What could my complaints be related to? Is this a major concern?
I have gone through your query regarding pain in throat, ear and lower jaw during swallowing. you are also having a node in your neck near thyroid which is painful.
As you have said that your C.T.scan is not showing any abnormality, so I would like to say that basicaly you site of lesion is in throat mainly in the region of base of tongue, pyriform fossa, or near tonsil and pathology of lesions may give rise to lymphadenopathy in the lateral part of neck as you are having.
So it will be better to consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, investigation and treatment.
Regards.
