Why Am I Not Able To Sleep For Not Taking The Sleeping Tablets?

hii, i am hypothyroid i had problem with sleeping. i felt a little anxitey whenever i was unable to sleep. my doctor prescribed me Franxit for 6 weeks, i have already taken franxit for around 4.5 weeks. forgot to take medicine today morning unable to sleep today. trying to sleep from 5 hours what should i do?

prolonged intake of tablets esp of sleeping pills can produce dependence.
Whereas on abrupt discontinuation it can produce a rebound increase in anxiety and may worsen insomnia.
In such case a gradual tapering of drug is the way to go.
I suggest you to discuss this issue with your treating CONSULATANT and any change in meds has to be on doctors advice.
