Hey, I just finished taking my last dose of macrobid for a bladder infection about an hour ago. Im still having a burning feeling, I'm still bleeding and still have the urgency to urinate mostly right after i go. Should I go back to the doctors to get a new antibiotic?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have persistent urinary tract infection. You should go for urine routine and microscopic examination and culture and sensitivity testing. It will give you exact idea. Because your infection may be resistant to antibiotics you are taking. Drugs like levofloxacin or norfloxacin or cephalosporins can be useful. But these all are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
