General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear.
Cocaine can get into the body through oral, intranasal, intravenous, and inhalation route. There is a possibility a friend of yours was continuosly smoking cocaine standing near you. Cocaine is extensively metabolized to a variety of compounds which are centrally inactive. Most of it metabolizes within 4 hours. But cocaine is still detectable on most drug tests up to a week later and can be “visible” for up to three months in other specific kinds of testing.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
Dr Sanjay Kini
