Why Are My Eyes Watering? Will Refresh Tears Work?
Hello! I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. My right eye has been spontaneously, and intermittently watering (sometimes rather intensely, to the point where I have to hold a tissue to the area to keep it under control). I have flushed the eye with refresh tears a number of times, and since it isn t consistent, I can t seem to determine a cause. My nose still runs after a bout of watering, so this suggests to me that the lacrimal duct is okay.Further, the water in the eye doesn t tear on its own; I either have to blot with a tissue or blink hard. Any insight?
Hi Dear your having watering eye, what is commonly called as epiphoria is usually due to two condition, one is conjunctivitis and other is blocked lacrimal duct.in conjunctivitis the eye is red and pain full, where as in blocked lacrimal gland thee are only tears.and these are more, once there is rhinitis(common cold)running of nose doesn't mean that you don't have blocked nose, nose running could be due to rhinitis and patent lacrimal duct of left eye.consult ophthalmologist (eye specialist) ,he/she will do a small procedure on you called syringing and probing,to look for your blocked lacrimal duct, and even small block will be get cured by this procedure..if the duct is blocked, surgical procedure depending on age is done, which you have not mentioned in question.
