Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, Last night during sub freezing temperatures, I experienced a three hour chill that has no connection with fever or any other illness I've known before. I was in agony. I got in bed and my wife covered me with blankets until--after an hour of covering--I began to stop shaking. This morning I felt fine. I'm 68, in reasonably good health, exercise a lot.
Hi! Welcome to Healthcaremagic I read your query. You did not mention if there was any accompanying symptom such as sore throat or gastric upset. Also has it ever happened previously? As you mentioned, it was sub freezing temperature, your symptoms correlate with suddent cold exposure. Chills at that time is body's defence mechanism to warm it up. I would suggest you to avoid sudden cold exposure, maintain good diet and hydration. If these symptoms reappear or you experience fever, then please refer to a physician. Hope this answer helps. Thank you.
