Why Did Blood Come Out Of The Ear After Putting Q-tip Too Far?

While cleaning my daughter's ears she moved her head so the q tip went too far into her ear we heard a pop, she screamed in pain and we noticed blood coming from her ear. Her ear has stopped hurting (and bleeding) now. She does have tubes in her ear. Should I take her to her ENT tomorrow??

As per your complain there can be two reasons for pain and bleeding in ear following q-tip injury:
1.Injury to the lining of ear canal leading to pain and bleeding.
It is not a serious condition and will resolve gradually and only painkillers will be sufficient to relieve pain..

2.Another condition that can cause hearing loss is ear drum perforation.
In this condition small perforations are commonly healed up and the physician can advise you to take antibiotics,painkillers, antibiotics ear drops.
Larger perforations however needs surgical correction..

You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and an Otoscopic examination can help in confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
