Why Do I Feel Constipated Even After Passing Stools?

Hi , I ve had a positive occult(?) blood test,. no pain but apon reflection I do remember seeing sort of a mucus passing a few times, and constipation is common for me, lately passing a stool does not feel complete, still feeling like I need to go more. Do I need for concern? I m 52 years old, My MD has scheduled me for a colonoscopy

You absolutely need the colonoscopy to check for polyps or cancer.

You may also have irritable bowel syndrome
