Why Do I Feel Dizzy And Sick With Blurred Vision Post Delivery?

Hi. I had a baby just over 2 weeks ago and since then I've been felling dizzy a lot of the time. blurred vision, feeling sick all the time, no appetite and no energy at all. I find doing the simplest of tasks draining and my balance is off too. Any ideas what could be the matter? Thank you. Yvonne

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes for your problem are :
- Blood loss during delivery leading to anemia.
-Inadequate intake of food.
-If you had gestational hypertension in pregnancy, sometimes that may continue after delivery also and can lead to giddiness, blurring of vision etc symptoms.
If you had gestational diabetes in pregnancy, that may lead to diabetes after delivery also.
-Possibility of pelvic infection etc.
So, once consult gynecologist and get examined.
Go for investigations like :
- Blood pressure recording
-Estimation of hemoglobin and blood sugar levels
-Ultrasound etc.
With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
Take care.
