Why Do I Feel Full, Have Low Appetite, Weight Gain, Lower Back Pain After Stopping Drinking?
Hello. I went on a dring binge and suddenly decided to STOP. It's my 5th day. I have no side effects except that I feel full all of the time and eat very little. I also suddenly gained 8 pounds. Why? I should have lost. I have lower baack pain which radiates sometimes to my neck. I feel bloated and sometimes I feel short of breath. Please help me figure this out. I have no health insurance anymore and can not afford a Dr. What can I do to relieve my bloating feeling and weight gain?
Hello, You are suffering from the mild usual symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Nothing to worry about these symptoms. If you feel shortness of breath is very problematic, then you must consult your primary care physician. Because he may advise blood, X- Ray and other tests to rule out any other causes. If your low back pain persists for more than a week, Please do Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to rule out any kidney stones. Any way at this stage you have to consult your primary care physician to differentiate between withdrawal symptoms and other usual causes like kidney stones or gastritis.
Hope this helps. Please write back for further queries. Wishing you good health.
