Why Do I Feel Like My Foot Veins Are Popping Out While Exercising?

I was just doing pilates workout. Whenever i work one of my legs, specifically moving then up and down repeatedly, it feels like my foot veins are popping out, and it hurts very bad. Its on the inner sides of my feet, kind of feels like a pulled muscle. It goes away after a minute or so.
