Why Do I Have A Burning, Itchy, Dry, Swollen Vagina?

Hi, I have a burning, itchy, dry, swollen vagina and I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with me. Recently had yellow discharge. I do have partner but we are each others firsts (no one had cheated) so I’m not sure why I could get an std or Sti but it could be a regular infection I’m not sure

Hello,

The symptoms you describe do sound like they could be from a yeast infection, or a fungal infection of the vagina, which is fairly common, and is not a sexually transmitted disease, but can sometimes happen more often with sexual activity. You can try treating it with over the counter medications such as clotrimazole or ketoconazole, and if that doesn't help, I would recommend having the discharge tested to confirm the cause and get specific treatment for what the diagnosis is.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
