Why Doctor Has Suggested Kidney, Stomach Ultrasound Scan For Infant?
My 3 month old son was in hostipal 5 weeks ago with "e-coli septicaemia" and was given the all clear by the doctorts, we have now be asked to take him in for a kidney, stomach ultrasound scan but know one can tell me why, can you please let me know why this is
Your son might be completely alright and still your doctor wants to make sure that we are not missing anything. E colisepticemia is a serious illness and it is better that an ultrasound scan is done to see the abdomen. It is a convenient method of imaging children and there is no radiation involved. This is just for the record that there is no persisting problems due to the earlier conditions.
