Why Does A Blocked Tear Duct Need Plastic Surgery Intervention?
I have a blocked tear duct. The opthomologist tried two times to open the duct without success. He is now referring me to consultants in Ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery? I have been reDing on line I see there two says they can approach the problem one making an incision on the side if the nose the other by going through your nose. The one that seems more successful is cutting on the side of the nose. I am confused why I am being referred to a Dacia. Plastic Surgurtgroup? Also they say sometimes this procedure is not successful?
hi dear its true that this problem can be tackeled by two routes through side of nose and through nose
first is dealt by an oculoplastic surgeon and the second by an ENTspecialist both routes heve thier own limitations and benefits you have been referred to an oculoplastic specialist as intervention would be third time
do take an opinion also from a ENTperson who is performing it through nasal route
good luck
