Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to
cold there has been blocked Eustachian tubes due to accumulation of mucous or phlegm into the eustachian tubes as they open behind the nose ans id a connecting tube between the back of nose and middle ear..
Whistling in the ear seems to be due to infection only..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy,
x ray,
MRI etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers, oral as well as nasal decongestants, anti allergics, mucolytics and steam inhalations.
In case if there is no improvement surgical
drainage of ears by putting a small incision in
eardrum can be done//
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
