Why Does My Vein Goes Dark Than Normal And Cause Dull Pain?

10yrs ago I gave birth and the IV did something to my vein. I can t remember exactly what the dr called it they said they could strip it or remove it but I just left it. It occasionally hurts if someone grabs that wrist, it has been swollen for the past week and the vein is darker than normal and it just has a dull pain. Not sure if it s from the 10yrs ago or if this is something different.

Respected madam, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.First of all clear your mind off the 10 yrs. problem as it`s not in relation to that mam.Now it is presently due to phlebitis by any bacterial infection. apply ice 3-4 times a day to the affected part. take analgesic tablets 2 times a day mor and eve after meals. avoid excess working for 2-3 days with affected hand. I hope you will be alright in 48-72 hours with very remote possibility that you have to go to your family doctor. dear thanks regards bye. wishing you a fast and speedy recovery.
