Why Does Pregnancy Test Kit Indicate Positive Post Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery?
I had an tubal pregnancy removed 4 weeks ago and yesterday I did a home pregnancy as I haven t been using contraception since and it has a faint positive. Could I be pregnant? Or left over hormones? I was only 6 weeks when I had my tubal pregnancy removed.

Detectable amount of HCG in urine may be present till 8 weeks after successful removal of ectopic pregnancy and hence, the test may be positive normally even without pregnancy. However, we should also know that a pregnancy can be there normally even after removal of one tube during removal of an ectopic pregnancy.
