Why Does Some Clots In The Eye Disappear On Their Own And Others Need Surgery?
a diabetic friend who has diabetic retinopathy had a mild stroke this summer which affected his speech and caused weakness on his right side, also had unsuccessful cataract surgery about a month ago. After the surgery a blood clot formed in his lens or between his lens and yesterday had surgery to remove that blood clot. Today he was discharged, but has chronic hiccups and is throwing up. My question is what should we expect as normal or usual after this blood clot surgery? Also, I'm wondering why some clots in the eye disappear on their own and others need surgery?
what you mean to say about clot behind lens means it is in vitreous. . it does not disappear like that vetriectomy is to be done. it creates problem if it is left like that. blood sugar is to be properly maintained.
