Why Does The BCG Injection Site Not Heal?

Hi! My baby is 9 months old and had his BCG vaccine last May. The red swelling site where the BCG was injected is still visible upto now that it has been more than 2 months now. Is this normal? How long does the BCG injection site turn to scar?thanks!

This is called as take up of the BCG vaccine. It represent that BCG vaccine has been given properly and it is showing some desired response.
So need not to worry. It may take two to six months to heal with a scar.
