Why Doesn't Tongue Move To The Right When Suffering From Cerebral Palsy?

My 5-year old daughter has mild cerebral palsy. She has many of the related conditions including seizures, GERD, hypotonicity, chronic constipation, neurogenic bladder, sensory processing disorder, oral-motor difficulties and global developmental delay. She has been in PT, OT and speech since she was 9-months old. We have only recently, however, discovered that her tongue does not move to the right which makes her speech and feeding issues much more difficult. Her MRI showed enlarged ventricles, atrophy in the frontal lobe and hypoplastic corpus callosum. What would cause her tongue to be unable to move to the right and are there any specific therapy techniques that would help? Thank you!

Pediatrician 's  Response
It seems that spasticity of the muscles that move the tongue to the left (which means muscles on the right lower jaw) has prevented movement of the other sided muscles. If the problem is pervasive, and not resolved with muscle-relaxants, you may consider surgery to cut the muscles that are spastic or consider botox injections into the affected muscles.
