Why Has My Child Suddenly Started Bedwetting?
hi my friends 3 year old has been going to the toilet and out of nappies for about a year now. but has recently started wetting the bed,and wetting herself in the day as if she doesnt know shes doing it.then she will not let anyone go near her sometimes crying hysterically.

If such a child comes in my clinic, I would like to go for urine analysis first to rule out urinary infection. I would also rule out if she has had some abuse of any nature.
I would like to know how do you react to her wetting. If she is being scolded then stop doing it as it will only worsen the situation.
It will be best to stop the toilet training for a while and restart it after say 6-8 weeks. It is normal for the children of her age to have bed wetting.
