Why Has The Movement Of My Baby Reduced After Getting Betnesol Injection At 35 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I am 35 week pregnant woman.I have received 2 doses of Betnesol injection gapping 24 hours each. My baby was very active before getting the injection. But now , I do feel very low movement of the baby. Is this normal ? How long would it last this effect?
Fetal movement is said to be reduced if you are getting less than 3 movements in 1 hour. Rarely taking Betnesol injection can reduce the movement for first 2 days following administration but it then picks up. One normal factor that cause reduced movements is fetal sleep cycle that occur during both day and night but it rarely exceed 90 minutes. Some abnormal fetal and placental position can also make the perception of movements reduced.
I suggest you to check for fetal movement by maintaining a kick chart. Count for the movements after having food by lying down in left lateral position. If you don't get 3 or more movements then repeat for another hour after drinking something hot like tea/ or some light snacks. If you still cant perceive 3 or more movements in an hour then visit your healthcare provider as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
