Why Having Cramping And Bleeding After Stopping Prozac. Never Had This Problem When On Depo

I have been on the depo for 7 years havent bled or cramped the whole time. I was put on prozac a month ago and i stopped taking it cause I thought it wasnt working. I am wondering me stopping the prozc does that have anything to do with the cramping and bleeding or can you tell me why after so ong this is happening?

Thanks for the query.
Prozac contains fluoxatine.
It is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
It can affect prolactin levels in the brain.
And that can lead to menstrual irregularities sometimes.
Possibly your symptoms will subside soon.
If the symptoms persist, consult gynecologist once and get evaluated.
Once check prolactin levels.
If hormonal imbalance is found to be the cause for your problem, you can take hormonal pills to control the bleeding.
