Hello !
I understand your concern.
It is normal for people during shift changes to have sleeping problems, especially when the shift has not been changed for months.
Your body isn't responding well to the changes. It is quiet normal. The shaking and sweating hands and the
fatigue are signs of psychological and physical
stress of your body. Sleeping problems cause these symptoms.
I would recommend you have a good regime, to lye sleeping at the same sleeping time every night, don't take exciting food like caffeine before sleeping, avoid emotional stress before sleeping.
If I were your doctor I would recommend Melatonine, a drug which is like the substance produced by our brain and regulates our body rhythms.
You should take it for some months. In the meantime I would also recommend
Lorazepam before sleeping or
zolpidem for two weeks . This will help you sleep as melatonine begins to stabilize your body rhythm.
Hope to have been helpful!
Thank you for using HCM.
Best wishes Dr. Abaz
