Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello,

Amlodipine is usually given once a day and has a 24 hour effect of lowering the blood pressure over 24 hours. Studies have shown that whether a patient takes it in the morning or at night has really no difference. Therefore, there is no specific instruction given to any patient on scheduling. Mostly, it is the convenience of the patient concerned. However, if a single dose has not been controlling the raised BP then a second dose may be advised or another additional medication too can be added.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
