Why Is Furosemide Prescribed?
I moved to a new city and have not found a new doctor yet, when I left my own DR.was on holidays and a replacement Md gave me Prescriptions for 4 refills take PMS-MetoProlol L 25 mg plus synthroid 100mcg but the drugstore also gave me 30tab APO -Furosemide 20mg and I can not remember ever taking this medication ,I cant call my old DR.we moved to another city 00 km away.Can you tell me what this last medication is for . I am 82 years old /female

I really appreciate your concern, if the last medicine you have asked is the "Furosemide 20 mg" so it is being given for diuretic purpose increases the urine out put, given for renal pathology, cardiac disease and others hope this information helps
