Why Is Hydroco/Acetamin Not Helping The Severe Ear And Ear Cartilage Infection ?
My husband was prescribed Hydroco/Acetamin 7.5-325MG today at a Redi Med was told to take 1 every 4-6 for pain. He has a sever ear, and ear cartiledge infection. He had taken one at noon but within 2 hrs. the pain was back really bad. Can he take two of these instead of 1 to help with the pain longer?
It would be not to alter the doses of the medication used but he can consider using a pain killer from a different family of drugs (once there is no history of allergic reactions) to further reduce his pain between doses.
The other pain killers would be medications such as celebrex, mobic, naproxen, ibuprofen, aspirin. These belong to the NSAID family of drugs. They should be used on a full stomach.
I hope this helps
